The official costs of the registration of an international trade mark depend on a number of factors, m.in. The type of mark (color or black and white), the number of goods classes, the number of designated countries. However, they are very advantageous compared to the costs to be incurred by reserving the trade mark separately in each country. The use of the Madrid system will already be profitable in the selection of two countries than the comparable costs of two separate national applications.
